A fundraiser for the vital work of Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid
Our shop sells limited edition feminist t-shirts, totebags, tea towels and Riso prints, designed and made by Birmingham based artists and independent businesses. The money you spend helps Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid to support and empower women to create lives free from abuse.
100% of profits go directly to BSWA.

All our products are designed by artist Sarah Taylor Silverwood and produced in Birmingham by Sofia Niazi and Do Make Say Ink.
Everyday, Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid use their people skills to help and empower women and children affected by domestic abuse. They are listeners, speakers, problem solvers, educators, advocators, nurturers, carers and activists. They support the growth and development of women taking back control of their lives. They fight for the rights of ALL women. They are a mighty force for change. They are role models for all of us.
Inspired by the women working for BSWA, SKILLS FOR GROWTH encourages everyone to make their people skills work for change. Using empathy, care and understanding to connect with, support and nurture others can be powerful and radical.
ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
The SKILLS FOR GROWTH design was created by Birmingham based artist Sarah Taylor Silverwood. Sarah makes public art works, animations, books, exhibitions, sculptures and textiles, often working in collaboration with other people.
Our Riso prints are produced by Sofia Niazi, an artist, illustrator, and member of One of My Kind (OOMK) artist collective. As part of OOMK, she set up community Risograph print workshop Rabbits Road Press in London.
Our t-shirts, tea towels and tote bags are printed by Do Make Say Ink, a small screen printing studio in Birmingham. All their prints are pulled by hand using eco-friendly water based inks for a long lasting, soft and breathable finish.
