EMPOWER BAB – A fundraiser for Baobab Women’s Project, Saturday 16th May 2020

Spoken word, poetry, art, feminism, feminist merch and other goodies! All proceeds will go directly to Baobab Women’s Project.

Raising vital funds for Baobab Women’s Project, Feminists Work For Change invite you to EMPOWER BAB.

There will be: spoken word from established and up & coming Birmingham based poets; empowering, beautiful, original and affordable artwork for sale made by a huge range of artists; feminist merch, tees & totes and much more!!!

Baobab Women’s Project are a West Midlands refugee and asylum seeker grassroots women’s advocacy project, working in solidarity with others for positive change. They provide advice and support including assistance with immigration, health and housing. They focus on undocumented, asylum seeking and newly granted refugee women’s issues, particularly supporting women affected by gender violence and trafficking.

Date & Time: Saturday 16th May 2020, doors 7.30pm

Tickets: £5.00 or £3.00 concessions (unwaged and low income). Spaces are limited. Book in advance here for full price tickets (includes 80p booking fee). Concessions contact us if you’d like to reserve a place.

Venue: RoguePlay Theatre, West Midlands Creation Centre, Unit 8, Minerva Works, 158 Fazeley Street, Birmingham B5 5RT.

There will be a walking bus to New Street Station from Digbeth after the event.
